What is Schoology?
Schoology is a learning platform that is now utilized throughout Monongalia County Schools. Through this system, students can digitally submit homework assignments, review grades, participate in interactive discussions, receive announcements and feedback, take tests, write academic blogs, and more. As a parent, you will be able to view your child’s activity within the platform.
Check out Schoology at website (note that this link is different from the one on the school website, which is for student and teacher logins).
If you are a teacher AND a parent, www.schoology.com for your parent accout with your own personal email address. Use the Mon County link with your school email for your teacher account.
Trying to log in to a mobile app?
If you are trying to sign up for Schoology through a mobile app, please follow the instructions below in a web browser first. Then try logging in through the app.
How can I get logged in?
Login codes were sent home to parents the week of September 3, 2021.Please see the electronic copy below for instructions on how to access Schoology and create an account.
If you need your login code, please contact one of your student's teachers. Once you receive the that code, you may follow the instructions in the letter below.
Schoology Parent Letter
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Monongalia County Schools is now using Schoology, an integrated learning management solution that provides course management, mobile learning, and support for system-wide communication. Schoology enables our students, parents and teachers to engage with learning materials and their school community from the classroom and beyond. We know that Schoology will help us enhance connectivity and communication across our district.
With Schoology, students can digitally submit homework assignments, review grades, participate in interactive discussions, receive announcements and feedback, take tests, write academic blogs, and more. As a parent, you will be able to view your child’s activity within the platform.
We thank you for your patience as we have given teachers some time to use some of the functionalities of Schoology.
Here you will find information with instructions on how to create, log into, and use your Schoology account. You will need this information:
Parent access code: (contact your student's teacher)
School: Suncrest Middle
We value your participation in your child’s education, and we encourage you to read Schoology’s Privacy Policy & Terms of Use at Schoology. Student progress and activity will be monitored by faculty to ensure a safe, secure, and controlled environment.
If you have questions specific to your child and his/her grades or attendance, please contact the school or the child’s teacher.
If you have general questions about Schoology, you can visit website and see what its potential is. Schoology is a powerful platform and we will not expect teachers to be able to know it all right now. As we continue our Schoology journey, you will see some of the phenomenal things that it offers that will enhance our students’ learning experiences.

Setting up your account:
Go to Schoology
At top right corner, hover over Sign Up
Select Parent
Using the Parent Access Code (from the front of this letter) enter that code in the box
5. Enter your name, email address, and password. Once you log in, you’ll be able to browse your child’s activity by clicking the arrow to the right of your name and selecting your child’s name from the top right drop-down menu:
6.You also have the option to associate additional children using Schoology with this account. To associate additional children, click the down-facing arrow in the top right of your Schoology account, select Add Child , and enter the Parent Access Code of your other child/children.
Remember only middle/high codes are coming home now.
Elementary codes will come home with their first report card in November.
