Suncrest Middle School

Our 8th grade Spanish students recently took a field trip to Taco Santo in Westover. Gracias to Prof. Soto and Taco Santo for organizing this opportunity for students to practice language skills while fostering growth and building community.

Last week, our 6th grade students had a showcase of the Butterfly exhibits! Check out a few of their displays! We're proud of all of their hard work.

Suncrest is coming home with some hardware! All of our competitors placed in the top 12 individually AND they were the top team at the State Mathcounts Competition!

The West Virginia Department of Education has issued a waiver to counties that exceeded their allotted number of snow days, allowing Monongalia County to adjust how the additional missed days are managed. As a result, the MCS calendar will now follow the originally scheduled dates: • Tuesday, March 17 – No school for students or staff • Wednesday, May 6 – No school for students; Professional Learning Day for staff Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we implement this update.

Reminder: All Monongalia County Schools will dismiss 2 hours early on Friday, February 13. There is NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, February 16, 2026.
